Arrive at Highbourne Cay and board your yacht in a protected marina ringed by white sand and calm water. Spend the afternoon exploring nearby sandbars and anchorages as you settle into the rhythm of life on board.

Warderick Wells Cay

25 NM | Heart of the Exuma park

After breakfast the yacht heads south into the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, arriving at the distinctive horseshoe anchorage of Warderick Wells Cay. Limestone ridges, sandbars and turquoise channels create one of the most celebrated views in the Exumas.

15 NM | Beaches and gentle sharks

Sail a short distance south to Compass Cay, where deep blue channels cut between low islands and crescents of sand. The marina is known for its tame nurse sharks that glide through the water beneath the docks, while nearby beaches offer soft sand and shallow swimming.

Cambridge Cay

5 NM | Reefs and quiet anchorages

Today the yacht continues into the central Exumas to anchor near Cambridge Cay, a peaceful area with excellent snorkelling and a choice of well protected coves. Limestone islets and coral heads surround the anchorage, giving a sense of privacy and calm.

18 NM | Mangrove creeks and hidden beaches

Turn back towards the northern Exumas and make for Shroud Cay, a low lying cay laced with mangrove channels that open out on to an ocean side beach. This is one of the most memorable tender runs in the Exumas, with winding creeks leading to a broad sweep of surf and sand.

Normans Cay and Nassau

45 NM | History and harbour finale

On your final day the yacht makes a short run to Normans Cay, once known for its colourful history and now appreciated for its reefs and shoals. After a morning of exploration you set a northerly course across the banks to Nassau, arriving in the afternoon to complete your Exumas voyage.
